The Memeology Guide

Since my vision of memeology implies a dense terminology and loads of concepts, it might be quite difficult for understanding; this for sure creates a high barrier to entry. Because of that barrier I decided to create the special guide which will lead newcomers through the most significant articles, revealing the essence of the meme theory. In order to fully understand the principles of memeology, it is highly recommended to read the articles below in the following order:
  1. Shape or Meaning: Meme Classification — the most important article, explaining the basis of memes, Internet memes, postmemes, their kinds and forms, and even more.
  2. On the Nature of Memeology: Objective Quality and Formulas — how to properly estimate memes, and if is there any objective quality and criteria for this.
  3. The Meme Life Theory — the way an average meme is born, lives, and dies, and the way different types of users (memers, normies, and corporations) treat it.
  4. The Meme Singularity — an interesting, rather speculative theory about the future of memes, tied to the dramatic development of AI.
  5. On the Nature of Memeology: People and Problems — thoughts on the current state of memeology and known memeologists.
  6. The Memeologist Manifesto — the list of my views on memeology and memes in the form of a manifesto.
To sum up everything above, you can also use the glossary.
